JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title:  Account Manager

                                                                                                                             

POSITION SUMMARY:

Working with our Clients, Product Development team and Sales team, the Account Manager is responsible for ownership of the client relationship and is the primary point of contact for clients post sale.  Responsible for customer retention and optimization through making them as successful as possible in using our Encentivizer Software Platform and other services.  In addition, the Account Manager will develop relationships with new and existing clients, solicit and track client feedback on the Encentivizer and its use, and provide feedback to internal teams for purpose of enhancing the quality of service and utilization of the platform. 

 

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Initiate client orientation activities following handoff from Sales team, performing detailed analysis on client processes, needs, and opportunities.  Build relationships with key contacts.
  • Responsible for managing monthly client activity, supporting customers use of the platform.
  • Responsible for upselling Encentiv Energy products and services to clients
  • Project management of customer projects.
  • Capture of all pertinent client data into CRM.
  • Prepare and maintain scorecard data and develop strategy to increase client volume
  • Work closely with assigned clients to generate volume and performance reports
  • Conduct reviews on accounts on regular basis to evaluate clients’ demands and usage of the Encentivizer; determine types of services/products and prices/fees satisfying the clients’ needs as well as the organization’s objectives
  • Conduct occasional in-person visits with clients as required
  • Generate outbound calls to increase client throughput, assess client needs
  • Engage internal team members on a timely basis to relay client requirements, assist in resolving issues, compiling data or documentation, client communication
  • Create and maintain client plans and meet client expectations
  • Be an internal account champion, assuring clear and regular communication to internal company employees
  • Ensure that clients know to use the Encentivizer and other Encentiv Energy tools, and provide training/re-training and assistance if necessary
  • Work independently and efficiently to achieve individual and corporate goals

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:                                                                                                                                    

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical discipline
  • 1-3 years experience in account management, sales or customer success management
  • Lighting or Energy Efficiency experience desirable
  • Software-as-a-Service customer success experience highly valued

  • Ability to be innovative, set priorities and make independent decisions
  • Ability to define and take action in ambiguous situations with minimal direction
  • Extremely proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong aptitude for working with numbers, spreadsheets and reports
  • Other duties as assigned

SALARY / COMMISSION:

  • Wage depending on experience
